Run RCA and power/ground on opposite sides?

In the manual for my Cadence txa1000d amp, it says something like,"Be sure to run the RCA cables on the opposite side of the vehicle as the Power/Ground wires."

Is this really necessary? And what is the reasoning for this? Thanks in advance.

you could get a little interference if your running large power wire....just do it for peace of mind

ever heard a whining noise that coincides with engine rpms? thats why you dont put power and signal on the same side. i'd say very necessary

Yah usually you wanna do that, it reduces and noise coming through your speakers. The RCA's are a signal cable so when they're right next to the power wire they pick up the current running through it and causes engine noise, alt. whine, etc...

never run power/ground and rca's together. run the rca's in the center of the car

Alright, so is it okay to run the rca's down the center and power/ground down one far side, or do they truly need to be all the way on opposite sides of the car? I will be running 4awg power/ground wire and RCA cables from KnuKonceptz's kit if that helps anything.
