Run AQ2200 on stock alt?

I'm just planning for the future and budgeting here, but I'm thinking about running an AQ2200. My Volvo has a stock 120 amp alt. I havent done big 3 or added a battery to the back yet, but I would for sure do that. My main question is, do you think I'll be fine running an AQ2200 (and 75x4) on my stock alt? What, as a rule of thumb, can most people go to (wattage wise) with only the big and an extra battery? Thanks!

i ran mine on a stock 110 amp alt, big 3 and 2 150 amp ups batts. at idle i may have lost .2 volt. also had another 2 channel running
You had two extra batts or just one? I'm not sure what my main batt is. It's something from The Battery Source.

just a pos wally world up front and the 2 in back
Do you think I'd be fine with one decent batt up front and another decent batt in the back?

And let me just make sure I have this right....

1) I'm not sure where the grounds should really go.

2) What size fuse should go right after the engine bay batt?

3) What size fuses should go in the distro block? (different sizes for each side? it's 0ga in --> one 0ga out, and one 4 ga out.)

4) If I have a fused distro block, do I need a fuse inline after the extra batt?

All honesty an alt should be the last thing on ur list with only a 2k I have a dc 180hp alt which is still small and I only have a .2 voltage drop difference and thats at 2k rpm when I noticed a huge difference was when I had more batts more reserve

A good rule of thumb is total power/10=alternator amps+battery amp hours. So for the 2200 it would be 2200/10=220 then 220-120 from the alt would leave the need for at least 100 amp hours plus whatever else you would need for the 4 channel like I said it's just a baseline.

@cory4788; Would you mind explaining why you disliked my post? I was just asking for help. Disliking it does not help me.
@jaeguerra909; Ok. That's good to know. Thank you!
@nkrell11; That's interesting. I will keep it in mind. And I understand it's not exact, just a ball park range for most applications. Thanks!

Sorry I didnt get back to you all sooner. None of you @mentioned me or quoted me, so I didnt realize I had new posts.

Sorry man, i was on my phone reading it and must of pressed dislike by mistake. Lol

to get the most out of that amp "assuming" you will be playing it loud for extended periods then YES an HO alt would be a smart move. Extra batts still need to be charged which will tax your stock alt even more....
