Rules of mounting an amp?

Actually I took a chunk of 2x4 and screwed it to the side of my box, wedging it in place and making a little compartment to hold my stuff. I said "before I fixed it,..." Now it's fixed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Various tools, jumper cables, blanket, sweater, hat, gloves... Never know when you're gonna be stranded in a snow storm, it's happened to me before and it won't be the last. The 2x4 keeps everything from moving around and getting in front of the sub

I'm always prepared, I had that stuff in my car before I even got my license, just part of living here

if the amp fits under one of the front or rear seats - that is a good spot also.

Amp mounted on enclosure = components receive excess vibration. Vibration + heat can = failing components, any weak solder joints can break, etc. It's like speeding past a police station. You might be fine doing it 99/100 times, but that one time you get caught will completely fuck you over.

This.^^^^I believe there are a few members that have messed their amps up mounting them to the box.I would def look for an alternative mounting location.Back of the seat is a good spot.
