I was wondering if this would be good enough for my room. a 2 channel reciever under $200, one 6 inch driver, and sub. And if it is what brands should i get. I don't know much of nething about home audio except that its expensive.

The HK3380 series is 4ohm stable and produces ~125 or so @ 4 ohms. The only thing I wish it had that it doesn't is an optical audio input. I am trying to research how important it is.

i was thinking i would buy a 6inch driver for under 100 and the sub for 100 too and build a box for the sub. I don't have much money to work with, i spent it all on car audio

Look at ascendant audio if your only wanting one speaker you can get a arbiter tm set for like 80 dollars and a 12 inch assassin for 90 i believe

alright thanks, but what receiver brands shoud i look at, all i can find was cheap are sonys n i kno they dont make good caraudio

i thought if i got a 2channel reciever 100 X 2 i could put 100 watts in the speaker n 100 in the sub..im probably wrong though

You could do that, but why would you want to? The purpose of the 2 channel is stereo sound. A full range and a sub is not stereo sound.

The bolded part is the best/easiest solution.
