Had anybody owner or know anything about rockford head units? I have a friend that has a rockford rfx 9110 he wants to sell because hes got a different cd player. Are they good decks?

i played with one awhile ago, i ddint like it much goin from my alpine to checkin teh fosgate. the alpine had more features than the one i played with.but im not sure how high of a model it was. but ive never heard anything good about em.

Thats what Ive always heard. I believe they are made by Denon.

No one can argue their Head Units, and amps are cheap. Some will hate the subs but Fosgate is a proven great company with great products.

I dunno i just really loved there old stuff and when they went to mass produce there stuff it started to **** in my opinion

Just like any other brand some of the headunits are good and some of them are not..

its all relative to what you are looking for and how much you want to spend.

Well I think I'm gonna go with it anywayz cuz im givin him 50 cash for it and they were around 500 new. If I don't like it I'll sale it and get an alpine.

You realize there was only 1 year where a couple head units were made by Denon? The 8250 and the 8240 if I recollect. Other than that no other Rockford head units were made by Denon. It was for more than 1 year.....but the rest of your post holds true. It was ONLY the RFX-8240 and RFX-8250(Ti) that were built by Denon because RF was trying to break into the high end headunit market.

NO OTHER RF headunits were built by Denon, and frankly I'd consider their "regular" headunits mediocre at best.

the delco units were pretty kick *** too of the late 90's. ugly as sin but very good
