Hey guys was up. Well i mostly listen to cd's or my ipod and soon sirius radio, but here in chicago from around 9 o clock and on we get live Dj's mixing on the radio. Is there ANY way to boost my fm signal to get my radio signal clearer. I know i can pick it up in my area cause my step-dad has a 2005 lacrosse and he hears it clear and same with my moms truck. By the way i drive a pontiac grand am.

Im wondering the same thing. I have a alpine 9835 and once i switched from a factory head unit to the alpine my radio signal turned into crapola. I also drive a 2001 nissan maxima and someone told me that my car had an amplifier/signal processor in it and once the stock head unit was removed the signal was not being picked up. I also have an internal antenna. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

no, the radio has clear crisp music, it's a good way to test how good your system sounds without having to worry about the quality of your cd...

i've never heard of a way to boost the signal either, but it sure would be handy since i do a lot of travling and xm radio is expensive..

Like i said in my post, i listen to cd's and my ipod mainly, but i like to hear the chicago DJ's spin after 9 (I am a DJ so it interests me). And once i get my new head unit, ill have sirius.
