I just bought a roll tongiht and was thinking about trying to do some dampening tom. but the roll seems rather small. Where would you guys suggest that i use it doors, trunk, etc. I was going to try it on the trunk but i dont think that would be worth it. Or do you think that i should just take the roll back and get something that was designed for car audio and not for roofing.

shit sucks, i used it, then went back over it with damplifier pro, what a difference.

and i used a SHIT LOAD of it cuz it was so cheap.

didnt do anything compared to one layer of legit second skin

Double layer in my trunk, under the carpet and all that crap. I also had some fat mat on the lid and that shit fell off this summer. Peel and seal seemed like the same material as fat mat to me. Cant say how it compares to the other stuff though!

I used about 6 rolls during christmas break. 2 layers on all four doors, the rear hatch, and the rear cargo area. I first just stuck it on, but it fell off rather quickly, so i whipped out the heat gun and heated it up and that stuf hasnt moved at all in 8 months! My car is 10 times quieter and my doors now close with a "thud". Greatest thing i have done to my ride, period, even though other people think it is totally crap. My suggestion, HEAT IT UP AND PRESS IT ON!

I had two layers on my trunk. Fell off in the summer. Now I use cheap spray on deadener. $5 at Napa!

2 layers on my trunk lid was ~1/2 a roll, if that helps at all. You'd probably want to use 3-4 layers all around.

thanks for the help i think it would take kinda alot to cover the whole trunk so im not sure whether im going to use it...

Smell goes away in a few days to a week.
