Basically I'm just curious which one of these would end up producing more power.. i got two dual 2 ohm subs running at 2 ohm onto the T2k right now and from what ive read im getting around 2200ish RMS.. I could run the colossus at 1ohm per channel and get the '1600x2' but i know hifonics has had a bit of a reputation of being somewhat overrated, at least the brutus line.. I know technically the colossus is more power but im not sure if id get a true 3200 rms out of it, I just wanna know if its only pushing 2600-2800watts because in that case id just keep my T2k.. thanks

well, the fosgate does that power at 1ohm, not 2. yes it will be about 2200, but again, thats at 1ohm..So if you can run the Hifonics at 1ohm stereo basically (1600x2) its going to be quite a bit stronger than the fosgate. Perhaps twice as strong. Hifonics reputation is not the best, but those amps are well built..

the RF is rated 1500x1 at 2ohm. Maybe you get 1650 out of it...the hifonics is rated at 1600x2 at 1ohm, and even though I believe the colussus can do rated, lets say it doesnt and you get 1400x2........so 1650 or 2800...?

well, if it does 2200 at 2ohm, then you have a bigger decision to make...but I do believe that the colusses series do rated. both are good amps, perhaps you should base your decision on which amp you feel will have more longevity

i have the colossus xxv on 2 orion hcca 15.4 wire to 2ohm each and the amp will do and more i put dmm meter on with 50hz sin wave and was able 35.5amp and 71 volts starting at 14.4 dropping to 13.6. the colossus can do evry bit of 4000rms if you can keep a current flow. i also ran it at 1ohms mono and dose fine but i would not run it everyday that way. but you will get every bit of 1600x2 here is a link from someone that tested

but good luck on your pick
