is the alpine mrp-m1000 amp 1ohms stable?....i guy i'm building a box for just went out and bought this amp, and two 10"type r's....that are dual 4's....so i can either wire them at 1 or 4ohms.....and i'm thinking after imp. rise the amp should see a 1ohm load around 2 ohms...(which the amp is rated at 1000wrms)....so would i be ok to wire his subs at 1ohms....or should i just wire them to 4 ohms, and let them see only around 600wrms

well i think i'll try wiring it at 1 ohms....and i'll run the wires out the back of the box so that if it goes in to protect i'll make it where i can re wire them to 4ohms....and they'll just be underpowered....unless i hear of anybody blowing their amp from running it at 1ohms

Yeah, your not gonna be happy when it does either....I mean, There clearly is a reason why alpine list it not to be run at 1 ohm...

^^^...yeah i guess ur right....i'll just see how he likes it being ran at 4ohms.....i noticed how the amp has no ssf....should i have to worry about the sub bottoming out below tuning

Whats the box tuned to, and is it ported or sealed? Just don't go playing some crazy shit like a 40-0 hz sweep at full power, cause once it hits like 23hz, bottoming will happen. Other than that, i wouldnt worry about bottoming out, its easy to hear as well...

its going under the back seat of his chevy 2500 extended cab.....i built it around 2.3cubes after all displacements tuned at around 34hz.....my specs aren't 100% accurate, due to the hump in the middle of the floor (i just calculated the volume disp. the best i could)....with the subs behind firing forward (at the passenger seat)...and port firing at driver's side (back door)...
