Rockford fosgate Power T500-1bd or MB Quart DSC 1500.1D (DSC1500.1D)?

What amp would be good for 2 alphasonik 8 series 10" subs 800 watts RMS each. The guy at the local car audio shop told me a RF power series t500 would provide a enough PURE watts to push these subs nicely. I went in there looking for a MB quart dsc 1500 and he told me the MB1500 is sub par to the RF. In addition, i already have a 4 guage amp wiring kit installed. MB recomends 0/1 guage. Out of these 2 amps or any other amps for around $250?

Orly? Typical salesman/fanboy bs. According to birth sheets, the t500-1bd does ~700w @ 1ohm. That's less than half what the DSC-1500.1D puts out at 1ohm (and that's RMS, not max ratings FYI). Only a fool would pay that much for an amp such as that, let alone believe the salesman that's trying to sell it. The DSC will do rated.

4Ga will be fine, but it had better be true 4gauge and OFC, not CCA. If it's CCA, I would upgrade. It really depends on the length of wire, though. If it's 20 feet or more, I'd upgrade to 1/0ga.

Ok so the RF t500 is a dead issue:violent:! What about a kenwood kac9104D? or a power acoustik BAMF4000/1D would be over kill or should I go ahead and pull the trigger & get MB quart dsc1500?

the mb 1500 has 4 gauge inputs and they put out lots on power even on stock electrical, why cant these stupid shops just be honest with there customers sometimes, a fosgate 500 for 250 gtfo 50 bucks more gets you the mb 2000

the t-500bd i have had a 1000+ on the birthsheet that cam from rockford and ive never had a problem out of it before it got put in the garage for more power

i dont know nothing about the mb though

Maybe ask RF tech support. I wasn’t able to find that either. Sonic electronics and Crutchfield just use the same description as the rf site. True...
