RMS is just what the recommended power is, In a proper enclosure of course. You can give the sub less or more than it's rated RMS and it'll play fine.

Be careful how you say that. You can give the sub more or less power if you are careful setting up the gains and not clipping it. Most woofers out I wouldnt recommend putting more than 200 rms to unless ya really know what you are doing.

No issues there. The amp will output depending on the speaker's impedance rating. Are you using a component x-over or is only the tweeter with x-over?
