to me bass all the way up is to sloppy on my unit. goes to show we all like different sounds, unless urs is different.

well i keep my low on -5, and when i set my gain on my amp, my hu sub is set to +10. that is the maximum i allow myself to have. so when i turn my HU all the way up, my gains are set correctly so it sounds clean.

weather you set the h/u up and turn down the gain,

or turn the h/u down and turn the gain up...

900w is 900w untill you start clipping the signal. if it sounds good...

by all means don't break it.

thats what im sayin, it sounds good for the box its in now, and i will be going ported here shortly (few days) and i will most certainly get a better outcome because the low end sucks with this small *** box.

on my Rl-p's they sound great at higher frequencies but at certain low frequencies it seems the bass it getting 'boosted' a lot.

I am almost 100% sure i turned bass boost off as i have never used bass boost so it should be off. Would the subsonic filter being set incorrectly cause certain frequencies lower in the spectrum to be greatly amplified or distorted? I think it might be set on 30hz by mistake or something like that

i tkae it you are ported? if not just turn it off and play with the Low Pass....around 125 i would say, then play with gains and if u HAVE to boost the bass boost just a tad

naw i'm sealed 1.25per chamber. pass is set to 80hz which i have always used. Got remote gain knob and that's not the issue. I think it's my SSF set wrong but i need to figure out if setting that wrong could cause boost and distortion at lower levels

if ur sealed just turn the SSF completely off theres no need for it....trust me, it HELPS A LOT

yah at lower hz my rl-p is twice as loud than higher frequencies. but when i pop the trunk and listen to it, they are exactly the same volume. i think maybe my trunk is acting like an enclosure, its wierd X_X
