RIP Jeep alternator..... And wallet.....

Ok hope your not paying an arm n leg. My excessive 350a hairpins were $500 each
Shouldn't be too bad. GP is fair on its prices. Plus I'm local so I can literally just drive up there and we can make sure it fits, and is installed correctly and all that.

Every aftermarket HO alt I've had has had some sort of issue. Both times I've gone with "cheaper" companies. Even though they weren't really cheap, they were decently lower price than all the others, have all had some type of issue with them.

I'd keep that in mind.

Other brands to look at: Singer, DC Power, Mechman, US Alts, Excessive Amperage, Ohio Generator, or Custom Electric Services*facebook only*
DC Power and US Alts are out of my price range from what I can see. Filled out a singer quote form but honestly im pretty decided. Plus with GP if it goes wrong theyre close.

If they are super close then I would for sure go with them
Good luck!
Thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif first I have to convince my parents that its not a waste for me to drop a couple hundo on an alt! lol! they got really angry when I mentioned it. But like. I need one anyway why not get a good one.

Good point.

What I used to tell my parents is "would you rather me spend money on this or drugs"

Plus they know it makes me happy.

I'll keep that in mind honestly though I gave no friggen clue how 3 would fit let alone 2. I have the 5.9l and it barely fits.

Indeed, under my hood is tight with the 4.0, I think you'd be hard pressed to run a second alt even if you ditched your AC.

That said, I'm pretty good with just one alternator and batteries, though I'd suggest saving up for LiFePO batteries for space and weight savings if you plan to go big.

Yeah, it's quite tight with the 5.9. and you're right there. I will go that route if I can ever even afford them. Theyre a little rich for my blood.

If you plan to run 10K you're going to need a couple grand worth of batteries any way you slice it, may as well plan on saving space and weight now before you ever even upgrade your amp.
