ridiculous home audio ****

Some folks like me prefer high impact sound from the loudspeaker, akinto beating on a snare drum with a stick. That crack you hear is alot of energy

and trying to get a driver to reproduce this ain't easy. First, that transient

would clip the amp easy and squash the peak.

What do you do? You can use higher sensitivity drivers in the design. You

can use an amplifier with higher rail voltage. You can bridge an amplifier

to get 2x more clipping headroom........
how many people are running line arrays like u lol? and the point was look at the price of the amp...800w or not, there can be NO need for an amp to be that expensive

Well apparently someone thinks so. They wouldn't build those if there weren't people out there that justify dropping that much coin on it. I know I never would but there are some insanely rich people in this country that can afford **** like that. Especially with the tax cuts the rich have been given by our "crooked" president.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

I think I may be the only one with NSB/PT2 ported arrays. If you build one,

then it's two people that have them .... so you can destroy the world //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Here's a thread on a DIY monster amp being created by Nelson Pass, Zero Cool

and Swarmy Dog. He wants to now make four monoblocks {3 level tower},

each monoblock has dual 2KVA transformers, so 16KVA total for four amps.

1KVA ~= 1000 watts. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/clap.gif.178cba2c538c68e720c727fcb024b19c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/awesome.gif.4430a219d9aaaa6cadc75e9290979dfb.gif

Which chimp amp are you using? Did you buy a kit or wiring it from scratch?

Got a power source?

Wutbeda skinny //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

You have a chip amp pcb in that kit or just loose parts? Do you have docs to

assemble? What about the power supply?
