Ok, so I just picked up a Rockford fosgate 801s 2400 watt amplifier. The right channel appears to work great, but the left channel I believe is shorting inside, here's what its doing.
If RCA input is not plugged in. Amp functions normally on one channel. RCA is plugged In to bad channel. Amp gets very hot right abouve the mosfets on the outside, other side stays cool. If you touch a sub to the channel. It ***** the subwoofer back all the way. So something is wrong.
I have looked and nothing looks or smells burnt at all. The amp of course has no fuses on it. I really want to use this amp because the rms power seems to be amazing. Can someone help or might be able to fix it?
