i believe only the mx,xxx &mt are made here the rest is china. last yr the sx was made here.

Those are all made in china too, down to the wooden crate the XXX ships in.

my xxx 15 is amazing. The new style. I loved every second with only 1000 rms on it. Probably the best sounding sub I've ever had. great monsters low end and very nice smooth roll off. sounds great and gets loud. Can't ask for much more. Only draw back is it is very tall. a little too tall to be practical in most applications. makes the box very tall and awkard. but I love it!

The new RE stuff look like cheap Type Rs, and that's saying something. I wouldn't touch anything of theirs other than the XXX or MX and even then it would have to be given to me.

Ive never heard an RE sub so I cant say much for how they sound.

Am I the only one though who things the new ones look better? The old ones had the same looking spoked basket as every other internet sub has. I like the looks of the news ones a million times more than the old.

i was thinking on getting two RE ***'s......ummm, so now im haveing second thoughts, should i get them or no? i think they look clean and ive heard good stuff about them in the past.

I'm going to try to swing by RE next week and see if I can have a word with him in regards to the direction of his company. When I was working for Advanced Car Creations awhile ago, we were the first dealer for RE in the US. It was a great company then. After the merge, the direction of the company changed and now their products are all over Ebay. I saw the new RE baskets 2 weeks ago when I visited Greg and I was very unhappy. Believe it or not, it cost them a bit of money making the tooling for those baskets. They could have done something else with the money. RE does have the technologies to make extremely good subwoofers.

ive had quite a few RE drivers in my day, from a RE 8 to a SE 15, and have a new XXX 15 in my bassment, and a SR 12 in my wifes rig, so i would consider myself a fan boy. i like the new look, do we really thing its a weaker basket? not a fan of the motor cover, but hay, even a LS9 vette motor sites under some plastic. i personaly before swearing off RE for good, would at least give em a try. perhaps Tuan can get his hands a on a few drivers, *** and a SXx and give em a run and give a un biased opinion, as im sure lots of us here respect his 2 cents! to date, my SE 15(made in china) was the best sounding driver ive had and hurd,and i had it on a MD3d. and in the past 5 years of installing, ive hurd quite a bit. i would like to try the new *** 15 to see how it compares with its predecessor, but i do not have the cash for such venture right now, or an amp to push it!

Sounds like a great idea. I don't think I'll have any problems getting some drivers from RE. I'll definitely do an biased review. Let's hope RE hasn't gone down the wrong path or won't go down a wrong path.
