Re's Comp Set??????

now that i see it from this angle, the xo's aren't half bad.. the re6.5 driver's dustcap is not to my liking though

the comps look good, but i don't like the looks of the passive xo's... the xxx driver itself looks antagonizing

I think the X-overs look OK... I will say I have seen cooler ones, but they will be hidden anyway...

 

I'd kinda rather them be somewaht boring and bland looking, because I think if they spend time and money making them look fancy, it'll just make them cost more to the end user in the long run...

I still want 2 sets of those XXX for the Doors of my Blazer.. I want furtherest forward in the door with the basket facing out/Cone in and the second one Cone out/Basket in... Course, I'll prolly change my mind and fire both forward like standard... Also, I wish the 6.5s had the XXX logo on them...

 

Do these drivers (6.5" XXXs) need to be in a actual enclosure sealed or vented, or witll the doors inards be ok as long as I deaden the heck outta them???

 

Have any of you shops out there had your hands on a set for testing?

Then a bit later, I check my mail again and I see your response...

I see you pretty much said the same thing about the XXX logo that I did...

Also, Somehow, your reply got here before mine...

I wonder if we could get them that way? Maybe they'll read this and decide to make them all that way!!!

It looks like the only difference is the woofers or are the tweeters and crossovers different, and those re driver dust caps look very awkward.

Yea, that would be cool... I can start planning...

Also, I thik I posted this before, but I'd still like to know about what kinda space the 6.5" XXX will preform the best in...

Will putting them in the door somewhat like regular door speakers be good enough, or do they need an actual ported or sealed enclsoure to really shine...

 

I just want to get the most out of them and make them look good as no one around me has ever heard of or seen the RE anything....

Yea hopefully....

But I want to make it two sepperate vented enclosures and be able to turn 3 of them off just for driving around and I also want my front end to sound really good...

Even thought I want it super loud, I don't want a one note wonder...

Prolly never happen, but I want the SQ guys to say, wow for a truck with that many subs, it sounds good too...
