req makes his VW GTi infinite baffle with IDQ15's PICS :D

very funny //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eyebrow.gif.fe2c18d8720fe8c7eaed347b21ea05a5.gif

so. on with more pics.

mind you, all i have for tools is a jigsaw, a little tape measure, and a 19v drill. so making perfect circles is out of the question. im going to cover it up with a nice grillcloth cover and black vynl. i live on base so im very limited with tools. i wish i had brought my router from back home //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif

im going to fill the edges with kittyhair to make it real solid. i plan on putting a bunch of drywall screws horizontal in those pockets to make for some nice reinforcement.

i guess im only going to do 2 layers of baffle, its already heavy as hell. so im getting close. just gotta let the resin dry and trim the edges up nice. do a little bondo work and sand it all down. its comming along quite nicely //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i know dave. but i dont want to //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

they arent too heavy. they will stay up there just fine im sure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

but thanks hehe.

i might redo it in the future. this is actually an expierement. so we will see.

off to buy some kittyhair

filled up round the sides. i ran out of filler, i needed like 1 more ounce lol.

its strong as hell. weighs like 40-50 pounds. should be nice. i have a few fitment issues to address with the edges filled that i need to sand back, but otherwise its comming along. lots of sanding i know, but kittyhair is a ***** in that respect.

other than those minor details (again, usually a problem when filling weird areas) things are rolling smoothly.
