Replacing speaker wire from HU?

Ive been thinking about replacing the speaker wire from my front and rear speakers to my HU, seeing that every pair of speakers i buy comes with speaker wire, they gotta be good for something, right? My vehicles are 10-20-30 years old so id like to replace the old wire with new wire, for peace of mind. How do i go about doing this?

16 ga from HU to crossover. 16 ga from CO to speaker.

for your trail car run from HU to speaker.

The hardest part is going through the door groumet.But other than that just run new wire to each of the speaker locations from the head unit and connect.Or add a crossover like tapout suggested for more seperation.
