replacing bookshelf speakers.

ok so as the title says i wanna replace my bookshelf speakaz. its a philips c577 about 330 watt max and 6 ohm the only thing i could find to replace them is some pioneers. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?&Partnumber=290-155 the ones in the link are 15s and 100wrms an 140wmax at 6 ohms. and should be perfect to replace my litte 61/2s that are the same exact rms. does anybody else have a suggestion.

how is it not gonna work? unless your thinkin that im trying to put the 15s in the old boxes then no. and the 61/2s an 15s have the exact same power ratin an everything.

You need a midrange and tweeter to go with that if you want to actually get music out of it. And if you build a 15" 3-way it would hardly be considered a bookshelf speaker.

i know i have to have the mid and tweeter i already have that part figured out. i was just looking for some 6 ohm woofers to go with it. an i know its not gonna be considered a bookshelf system. the system as itself right now isnt even really a bookshelf system. thats just how they classified it.

Nothing really, they're good up to 800Hz or so...
