Replace 2.5 DIN stock cassette player

I've already made a post in regards to this in the forum for Head Units, but I decided to post it here as well, since it's a general issue and there may be some people browsing this who don't browse that specific forum.

I just got a 1992 SC300... and I wanted to replace the cassette player with an aftermarket cd player... the problem is that the stock thing is 2.5 DIN slots... and I've looked all over but can't find an install/mounting kit for my car. I was wondering if any of you know how to solve this problem? I don't have money to buy one of those screens or anything like that... I just want a regular cd player. I was wondering if I could just have a cd holder or some little pocket that I could just put stuff in.. or maybe even a cupholder... anything that would take up that 1.5 DIN space... if you know of anything, could you please provide a link.

well this doesn't really help but they have double din cd players so you could look into those plus did you check crutchfield? when u enter ur vehicle info they can tell u what fits your car but gl with that 2.5 din... wow lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yea i checked crutchfield, and they didn't have any install/mounting kits that fit my car. i dont think i want a double din cd player.. cuz the ones i found had a cassette player (which i dont want), or they were more expensive... unless i get some crappy brand..

ideally i'd want to fill that gap with something i can put stuff in.. like a lil pocket, cd holder, cup holder, whatever.. just so it looks clean (the "stock" look)
