Repairing my T.V. without any experience. :D

Well, I got a 52" Rear Projection HDTV a while back. The convergence on it was messed up, so I did my tweaking when I first got it, and it was turned into shit... Couldn't tell what was going on at all. I spent about a month messing with it, and no with no luck, it was still unwatchable. I figured I wouldn't make it too much better since I know nothing about projection systems. I moved, and had a little 27" T.V. on a huge bare wall. So, I decided to try my luck, and decided to work on the t.v. again, just before I decided to sell it. To my amazement, I got a decent picture. It's not the best, as I am still tweaking the picture tubes, and convergence. The convergence setup on the unit sucks. What I'm wondering if there is anyone here, that can recommend what I do to fix the convergence for very fine tuning, or can you direct me to someone who can?

As you can see, the blue is a little off, and what you can't see is that the red is off a little too. I've done all I can think of to try and remedy this, but no luck so far.

we had that problem with ours a while back, had a tv repair guy come out and he replaced a cap on the board and fixed it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Do you know about how much it cost you? I don't want to pay more to fix the T.V. than I got it for.

We have a Toshiba 62" RPTV and there is a convergence setup in the menu.
About once a year I realign it, but it is all controlled electronically.
I have been messing with my convergence sub-menu, but I can only do the alignment to the center. I can't adjust tilt, pan, over scan. There is no fine tuning, even in the T.V.s repair function.

figure out what wrong w/ it and i might be able to hook you up, I got another one from my friends mom for free w/ the blue and red crt tubes out.

i hope you get this thing fixed man, I JUST got the grand am running right, 700.00 and a new motor later, not to mention all the other parts i had to buy... and now both front wheel brearings are bad, and every time it rains the trunk, rear window and drivers door leak, so i need new seals as well....lol its all good though
