rental car

My friend just got a rental car and he made a small dent on it. If he claimed insurance when he rented the car what would happen? Will the dealership even notice the dent?

Did he get the optional insurance from the rental place?

If not then his own personal insurance will have to pay for it if they notice it when the car gets returned.

it is only noticable in the light if you stand 1-4 feet in front of the car

just tell him to let it go and pretend he didn't even know it was there...If the insurence comp says anything play stupid and let the " rental insurence" cover it...

depends on how carefully the rental agency inspects there cars....If they come across it they will notify him...Then he'll play stupid and say he didn't know about it...If they press the issue have your buddy pay whatever the rate is and be over with it....
