removing factory Entune system from 2012 camry hybrid.

Hello every one,

I picked up a 2012 Camry hybrid with the factory nav/entune system (not jbl), this system *****!. I want to replace the factory head unit with the new Kenwood dnn990hd and install a 4 channel amp along with sub. Pretty much removing all the factory setup and only using the OEM nav and xm antenna also using steering wheel controls.

My question is how are people doing this seeing the factory system is tied into the multiplex of the car? It looks like I could just remove the factory setup due to the Can Bus style of multiplex and not interfere with any thing but would like a outside option.

You would be cheaper and probably just as well off to buy a LOC such as the RF 360.2 or .3 or something with similar processing. Maybe a JBL MS8. It'll still give you all the options for tuning and more and money left over to buy speakers. The speakers are what **** on those. My last car was a Camry with the stock system at first and the 6x9's that it comes with weighed less than one of my tweeters now

I would also do what tat2bass suggests. I just did a 2012 venza the other day. left the factory head installed a 4ch amp straight off the head and installed 4 new speakers and it was AWESOME. I also added sound deadner around each speaker. But it was in fact a fairly simple install i just ran high level into a signal sensing amp and viola.

Thank you both! I will hook my amps up and replace the factory speakers and see how it sounds. I will have to try and get use to the weird enform system seeing I'm use to the avic z1 setup but ill give it a shot seeing I have all the other equipment in my GS430 which is staying with me when I sell the car.
