I am removing the factory bose system.
I have layed down rca, power, remote, ground, and removed bose amplifiers.
However I remember when I installed speakers in my 98 altima, I just used the preexisting speaker wires.
With the bose system, the harness is a lot thicker, I was wondering if anyone know what things were.
Specifically in the doors. The stock system has the speaker and also tweeters. If I remove the wire harness from the factory spearker/amplifier, how can I use this harness to connect new speakers. I don't want to lay down new wire and run it from the door into the car. There just seems too be no room to complete such a task.
Can I possibly cut/splice the harness that remains? If so does anyone know which one I should use. There seems to be 6 wires. One red/black which I will guess is power and ground. Could the other 4 be 2 sets one for the speaker and one for the tweeter?
Any help please, much thanks
