Removable wall in sedan

Total weight of birch wouldnt be too bad though expensive.
I have always wondered though. The machine used to do large fiberglass projects. It spits out resin, mekp and fiberglass at the same time. Covers large areas. Always thought someone should do the entire inside of a trunk on all walls like that and make the trunk opening the baffle.

Weight of a wall build adds up fast. Far worse would be trying to skimp on wood to save weight then wind up with a box that flexes or splits at a seem.

I'm not intending to hit 160s, and i planned on a ridiculous amount of deadening anyways.. I just want to get stupid low.if I were to build in trunk you don't think I could pull off an 18? I was thinking maybe 2 Q 15s or 2 icon 15s.. if I'm going big I'm gonna have to do a good bit of deadening and get an extra batt so I'd rather stick with 3.5k as long as I can. I know I could pull 2 12s because I had a ZCON enclosure built by cscstang that was 6.5 ext and it cleanly slid in and out of my trunk. I'm not sure on exact dimensions though which is kinda sucky on my part. But I figured 6 external cubes, if I did an external aeroport and sub firing up, I could pull at least 5.5 net volume doing the same enclosure. I would just need to brace it well. I just don't want to spend more than 700 on subs.
5.5 cube net is probably better for 1 15 than two. Pair of 15s in a trunk is dead unless you're building it in and even then might be tricky. Single 15 or pair of 12s is your best bet.

700$ used buys you a really nice single 15 though. LV6, SSA Evil, DD99, LMS 5400 tier. As a matter of fact I think someone posted here recently that they had LMS 5400 15. If you wanted to play whale songs you won't beat that.

I've looked at evil 15s, definitely like those. Not really a fan of DD or DC though. I just feel like they wouldn't be right for my taste.. I want sound quality with crazy lows. I like the thought of 12s, moving more air and all but I also think that 1 15 would suit me better. Is an 18 just out of the question? I've been leaning towards and x/zcon 18 but I don't have the tools or really even the space to build in my trunk. My townhouse has a small parking lot and my power tools are limited to wires until I get some money for better equipment. and I'm tying to sell my current set of 10s but nobody wants them for whatever reason

No tools or place to cut wood is rough. You should try to get to some SPL shows and meet guys that have access and like to build.

Need to get in the loop. Just moved to NW Washington and don't really know any bassheads out here.. joined a group on Facebook recently so maybe that'll help our

I think you need to realize that without folding down seats, your screwed without modification of some kind. You're only able to push so much air through back deck holes. You can put the biggest driver you want in the trunk but you'd be losing rediculous output because the airspace into the cabin is restricted.

My daily beater Altima was walled for several years and other than a little indent on the headliner you can't tell. Now it's 2 15's in the trunk and meters decent but the wall "seemed" way louder even though it was only 4+ dbs diff. Few months back I ripped a 4 15's wall out of a Charger and same thing, can't tell it was ever walled.

I don't use expanding foam cuz it's **** and makes a mess. Better ways to seal things off IMO. A wall done right does NOT need to destroy the vehicle....

Go on about better ways to seal off other than foam. Just got my hands on an x18 so if you wanna convince me to buy 3 more and start a never ending project, entertain me
