Removable wall in sedan

Not to bad use lots of painters tape. Cover the ceiling before you build in it so you can spray foam the top. Tripple layer the b pillar before fiberglassing from the box over the b pillar. Watch exos video of how he fiberglassed his box to the b pillar in his Saturn. Just cover everything in Tripple layer that's getting fiberglassed so it won't soak thru and stick to the vehicle interior.

I followed his whole Saturn build I was just under the impression that doing that would make it impossible to remove cleanly.. this is only in theory right now I'm not too sure how I feel about this

You'll want to just build the box, then seal off the edges. My first go round in my Jeep I put heavy duty trash bags in the gaps and filled them with spray foam to fill in the space without sticking to panels then just scribe fit trim pieces snug around the edges to flush it off on the front.

The idea of using a few layers of painter's tape between any fiberglass and edges is solid too. Excess tape can always be trimmed, or if you do it on the car side and the box side the fiberglass trim pieces could be removed entirely.

More importanly is figuring out a way that the box is solidly anchored to the vehicle so that it doesn't press you like a grape if you ever get into an accident.

I'm really stuck on getting stupid loud but that's just so much work that I don't have time for lol. I wanna get myself a beater and try it on there, I could probably pull off 2 15s in the trunk but my subs of choice have too high of a qts and I'm skeptical about going sealed

High Qts lends itself well to 4th order bandpass. Might give that a whirl porting through the rear deck. Yeah, a wall build is a commitment. Figure you with a friend helping when needed you'll be into it at least 40 hours.

So what are 4th orders good for? I've never heard one before. Had a few custom ported boxes which I like, I'm trying to avoid one note wonders and high notes for the most part.. I liked the obnoxious lows my ZCON 15 gave me. I'm just wondering if I could get more bass for the money give or take 50 bucks

Really depends on the sub and how you build it. You can gain output at the expense of bandwidth, as you approach a really wide bandwidth you get similar output to sealed box BUT that said, if you're in a trunk the fact that all the sound radiates out of the port straight into the cabin can give you significant gains over trying to just have a ported box in the trunk.

So a 4th order with really wide bandwidth, with an external port through my deck would beat sealed in sq and ported in spl? If so that's the exact kind of setup I'm going for

You can design it or pure lows. A lot of higher ratio 3ths play 25hz to 50hz and sharply drops after 50hz.
In your opinion, just for lows, would I be better off doing 1 2k+ 12 in a 4th with a high ratio, or 2 1k 12s ported to around 28? Which would you run and why

I'm stuck between 2 icon 12s ported, 1 Fi q high qts 12 in a 4th order, or maybe going with some dude who builds subs local to me, in the pnw who has some nice looking subs but I've yet to hear them..

Two 12s ported. 4Th orders are a crapshoot unless you have access to testing equipment. Usually cone area does wonders for bandwidth. While 4ths done wrong are very quiet or peaky.

Totally depends on the subs and box design, but even if you didn't get the "ripple" (peak) from the bandpass just getting the sound straight into the cabin should be louder than relying on a ported box in the trunk.

Well what if I just did a ported enclosure with an external aeroport through the deck? I would like to do a band pass but i don't have the tuning equipment
