Weight of a wall build adds up fast. Far worse would be trying to skimp on wood to save weight then wind up with a box that flexes or splits at a seem.Total weight of birch wouldnt be too bad though expensive.
I have always wondered though. The machine used to do large fiberglass projects. It spits out resin, mekp and fiberglass at the same time. Covers large areas. Always thought someone should do the entire inside of a trunk on all walls like that and make the trunk opening the baffle.

5.5 cube net is probably better for 1 15 than two. Pair of 15s in a trunk is dead unless you're building it in and even then might be tricky. Single 15 or pair of 12s is your best bet.I'm not intending to hit 160s, and i planned on a ridiculous amount of deadening anyways.. I just want to get stupid low.if I were to build in trunk you don't think I could pull off an 18? I was thinking maybe 2 Q 15s or 2 icon 15s.. if I'm going big I'm gonna have to do a good bit of deadening and get an extra batt so I'd rather stick with 3.5k as long as I can. I know I could pull 2 12s because I had a ZCON enclosure built by cscstang that was 6.5 ext and it cleanly slid in and out of my trunk. I'm not sure on exact dimensions though which is kinda sucky on my part. But I figured 6 external cubes, if I did an external aeroport and sub firing up, I could pull at least 5.5 net volume doing the same enclosure. I would just need to brace it well. I just don't want to spend more than 700 on subs.
700$ used buys you a really nice single 15 though. LV6, SSA Evil, DD99, LMS 5400 tier. As a matter of fact I think someone posted here recently that they had LMS 5400 15. If you wanted to play whale songs you won't beat that.
