Why not just run 1 remote wire from your HU to 1 amp, then just jump the other remote wires to your other amps?

If he's running four amps off the remote wire, that's a good way to burn up the internal circuits in the head unit. Usually they're only rated for a very small amount of current, maybe half an amp.

Using a relay is a good safety precaution, and makes sure everything gets adequate current to turn on.
