Remote Wire Help

Ok heres the deal

For the time being i am going to be running a stock deck untill Xmas when i get my Deck....thanks dad....neways i am want to hook my amp up temporarily with a LOC

I have everything figured out....except what i am going to do with the remote wire...I DO NOT want to go behind the stock deck because its going in a CRV and if you have ever seen 1 of those they are Biotches to get behind

what are my other options....?

run your remote wire to an unused accesory or ignition controlled spot in your fuse panel.

or run it from the batt w/ a fuse block and a 10a fuse in it, on a toggle switch.

i would just hook it up behind the deck because all the time your wasting on here and figuring out other methods and spending money you could of had it done by now plus youll be sure that it will always be off

if you have a power antenna in your trunk area, just splice it into that.

but the best way is to run it from the fuse box off an 'acc' or accessory line. these lines turn on when the ignition is turned to the "ACC" mark (stereo, heat, windows, moon roof, ect) so when you take the key out it turns off.

just take a digital multimeter - and set it to 20v DC (or so it looks like this 00.0v - under the DC VOLTAGE section) and test the different fuses with the key in the ingnition turned to the ACC spot, and when you find a 12v+, turn the car off, and see if it still reads 12v, if not ... splice a 16awg wire into there somehow (temporary) and run it to your amps.

way to jump in there and give the guy some help--too bad what your suggesting is stupid and not necessary. mine and req's suggestion is just so freaking simple.

put a U shaped connector end to the end of the remote wire and plug it into the radio fuse. simple as that. you cant put a remote wire on a stock deck.....it doesnt have support.

You obviously dont have a car. My Infinity deck that came with my car sure had one. It was going to the infinity amp running the speakers.

i had my deck wired like that so when i seen cops i could hit the kill switch and it would all be off, the best route really. and when your pumping gas you can leave it running while you gon in the store to pay. i like to hear my bass thumpin while in in the store payin for my gas. I didnt wire my new truck like that b/c i was in a hurry, but i wouldve, i was going to the other day but i lost my swith/fuseblock/fuses and wire. I reccommend this to all audio enthusiasts.
