remote turn on

Alright I have these RCA cables with the remote turn on wire for the amp built into it but I'm upgrading all my wiring including RCA's what kind of wire do you use for the remote turn on. I know its a thin wire but what kind of wire and were do you get this wire?

off the back of you deck or to the fuse panel so it turns on when the car turns on

use 18 guage wire and run it to one of these ^

go to a hardware store and ask for 16g wire....any mulit strand power wire

Wal-Mart sells it for cheap in the auto section. You can get it in black, red, or blue.

If running it from battery to toggle switch then to the amp.... How big of an online fuse, before the toggle switch?

I have it so when the deck is on, the amps are on, when i shut the deck down, the amps are off. Toggles work too.

why not run it form the HU

System is on my boat..... Cabin, cockpit, wake tower, subs. Don't run all speakers all the time.... Want to b able to turn them off and on without having to open the engine bay and turn off the amp at the circuit breaker. Wanna do it from the drivers seat. So I am wiring in each amps remote wire to a toggle switches. So I need to know if running the remote wire straight from the battery to the toggle switch and then to the amp, what size fuse to use

as small as possible. Trigger current is a small fraction of an amp -- typically less than 0.1A. A 1A fuse would be fine. No more than 5A.

yah 1 amp would work. I think radioshack sells smaller ones like half an amp too. Most remote wires never pull over 300mah. Which is 1/3 amp.

Would it ok to jut have one 5 amp fuse on the source wire, before it gets to the4 switches? Or do I need 4 individual fuses one after each switch before the amp?
