Same thing for me... church camps, youth group every week, church choir, bell choir.. all that stuff. Then I became an athiest when I was a sophomore in HS. My church still stood behind me and supported me though, which is part of the reason that I really like my church. They're more about the person than cramming stuff down your throat.I grew up in church, went to church camps, youth conventions all that mess and the I grew up and was able to form an opinion for myself which is totally different from what I believed earlier in life
I beleived in God when I actually had a personal interaction with him when I was a junior in college. Once you have that.. you really can't refute that God exists.
Here's a fun athiest quote tho:
