I've purchased a DEI refurb before - it must have been a re-board as it looked brand new internally and like the dials had never been touched. This was years ago, the amp worked fine and still does as far as I know (haven't heard from the buyer ever since).
Since then I've only dealt with Chris's work (db-r) and I've been satisfied pretty much 100% with what he does. Seems that most of his customers are happy too, pretty rare to see a complaint - and if there is I've seen Chris deal with them in an impressive manner... even buying a new amp for a guy that had problems with his refurb.
