Reconing a SQ Hdc 3 15

you don't need the plastic spacers you sand the spider landing on the basket. they use bolts because they are made in china and they don't use ca glue over there too expencive and have to be in a controlled environment.
I have built many of those and can be a good sub with good soft parts.

ya scored really good for $20 withs worth bout $80 with basket...
Going back with stock parts, I actually ordered them earlier the same day you pm'd me back =/

What should I use to hold the surround/spiders down? I've got like 4 clamps. Would gluing everything and putting weight on the middle of the cone be ok, or should I just go buy more clamps?

I've seen people use clothespins before.. I would recommend more clamps

put shims in place, glue on spider landing, place recone in place, push down and hit with activator and hold it in place. 45 seconds later it's done. NO need for clamps/clothespins when using CA glue/activator.

For the surround I use a sub cutout on top of it with 10-15#'s of weight. Assuming it lays flat then hit with activator from the top and underneath the basket. Give it a few minutes and check for loose spots. Might need to hold those down and hit it with activator again.

Make SURE you remove the shims before gluing on the dusctap....
