through the metal? I have a standard drill bit and it's not drilling through it, so what do I need to have to do this? Also why do I even have to do this, I don't think most people have power drills that can go through metal just laying around?Yeah, you should be able to drill right through it.
Any drill can drill through metal and most $10 sets of drill bits are perfectly capable of going through metal.through the metal? I took care of it already, but that definately wouldn't have cut it, it needed some serious drilling to penetrate the metal.take the rubber gasket off and push the screws through the holes in teh basket you can see them from the back
nope same size. Oddly enough there were holes drilled for each of the holes in the rubber gasket, but 3 of the holes were not drilled out in the center? I had to completely drill through metal in the center to get it to poke through the other side, even though the other side already had a hole on it? Wierd, but at least it is good to go now.did you change the size of the sub?
wvwn if, i doubt they have baskets that dont have the holes driled out.....sounds like the gasket shifted
mainly the cost of a recone kit + the cost of a basket.I was not aware that you could get a sub reconed to a different size? How much do you think they would charge to recone a 12 to an 18? Maybe if this thing ever blows again I might do that
