Yup. Im soo happy I dont have to recone it again or tear it apart. Although, now after playing around with it Im getting really anxious to get it in //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif. Which kind of sucks since I dont have the time to work on the audio part of my car for a while.

Got tons of shit going on so it will probably be a while before Im able to get any more work done on this part of the project.

Most of the glue is worn off at this point. Im guessing theres just some left near the top of the former. Im just not able to get the needed excursion out of the sub with the little power I am using with this small plate amp.

Ive worn off any glue that was further down the former and closer to the motor gap. With some real power on it and a couple sweeps Im sure the rest will wear right off.

I mean, this Crown plate amp is rated for 70wrms @ 8ohm, I wired the XXX to 2. So at best Ive tossed couple hundered watts to it. Ive got a couple thousand on tap with the KX that should do it just fine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif.

Well due to were the glue is at inside the former most of it would more than likely blow right out the pole vent I would think, Im sure some could fall down into the gap though, but hopefully blow out.

laying down glue, then dropping it in, then shimming it after the glue is down may be part of the issue. I prefer to shim it tightly using printer paper. It works perfectly on a 3" coil. Once it is shimmed tightly and the spider/surround are about 3/8" above their landings i lay down a nice bead of glue and then press the cone assembly down. That way you know the thing is aligned the moment it contacts the glue and nothing has a chance to get out of alignment.

One reason I like to use epoxy.. you can lay the glue, put the assembly in place.. then shim and you are still golden for 2-3 min before the glue sets..
