recone Question on a kicker solo x 10

My question is if the old sub was a dual 4 ohm can i replace it with a dual 2 ohm recone kit? also if its a dual 2 ohm can i replace it with a dual 4 ohm?

Alright, so for background info i have a kicker solo x 10 inch sub i have had for about 2 years and the foam on the outside of it has been ripped/blown out from pushin it a lil too hard. the entire sub is one of the older models i think from like 02-06 or something. but i've been told i can use one of the newer recone kits, the ones with the black cones so this is what i plan on doing, but i'm not sure if i need dual 2ohm or dual 4ohm
