Recone options for Type R's

Everyone is so worried about cheap.. cheap this, cheap that..

Who cares? Who is to say that a reconed Hype R wouldn't perform better than a stock Hype R.. & boom, extra money = worth it.

Except that for the price of ordering a set of soft parts, assuming you could find a coil OD/length that would fit....you could just buy a new one.

So you probably won't have any extra money, it may end up costing you money in the end, compared to just going to Ebay and picking up a new woofer.

I would be cheaper to buy a new one. I know a friend that has tried to recone a type R and it was a pain in the *** and just about the same price as a new type r

Both of my type R's are sitting in my closet needing recones. I am surprised I haven't thrown them in the garbage yet. I am thinking of making a cool hat out of them.
I made hanging plant holders out of some old polk momos
