Recone For Old Type R?

I've read that you cant recone a newer model type r but I was wondering if it was possible to do it on the older model type r's??? I wasn't sure if theyre built a little different so I was wondering if someone had any experience with these... and could I just use a recone kit from partsexpress or where would i go to get one if it was possible..?? thanks

try Fi see if they have any thing.. they seem to do a lot of reconing for a variety of brands..

dont think they willl be able to recone that, and they can only recone the old immortals, not the newer models

Why bother? The price of recone parts starts to quickly equal the price of just purchasing another older type R or for that matter, a new one.

what size type R ?

I've got a cone and coil that will fit a 12" but I'd have to look and see if I have any spiders

Well I got a very prompt reply from Nick..I knew he would answer quick so I emailed him. He says its not possible so I just thought it was worth a try. I just want some cheap 12's or a 15 that I can bring with me to college instead of my Nightshade but I guess I'll just have to play nowhere near my campus.
