Hi All

Was hoping to get some recommendations for decent places to supply and fit a car audio system, looking at head unit/speakers/amp/sub.

So far looking at car audio security in Hayes but would appreciate a few more options //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks

just hook it up yourself.

first off figure out your budget and go from there.

depending on power your going to run will determine what size power and ground you'll need.

run a power wire from bat with a inline fuse 1 ft from the battery. run it through your firewall. there is usually a opening where wires come through your firewall to begin with any ways on certain cars.

run that power wire to your amp.

run the ground wire from your amp to a sturdy thick piece of metal either using a already in place bolt or self tapping screw, be sure to sand down the area where your ground will be.

run the remote wire from your head unit after you get one to the amp remote terminal.

hooking up a head unit is fairly easy. the wire harness comes with instructions.

get a installation bracket for your head unit.

custom enclosure can be built and shipped by a few people on this site.

trust me. if your looking to buy a new head unit, speakers, amp and a sub. and looking for a full install by a shop. be ready to get ***** without lube.

if you have a few hours id suggest doing it yourself. you'll also get a feeling of pride after your first installation and will be happy on how much money you saved by doing so.

if you need help through the process. just relay back here.99% of the people here can help you. my first installation was done by a shop. and after they were done i looked at how everything was wired up and ran and was shocked at how stupid easy it was. kicked myself in the *** because i spent the unnecessary $$ to have it installed when its easy as hell to do it yourself.

youtube and google are basically free education on almost anything you can think of.

Thanks Guys for the replies, I'll post in a UK forum for installers.

I'll also see about doing it myself but not very confident so will probably go with a installer, I will shop around however to get the best value.

Also still trying to research on the best components to buy as per http://www.caraudio.com/forums/general-discussion/619607-w211-2008-e-class-head-unit-amp-sub-advice.html so feel free to add suggestions if you have any //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
