Recommendation for seat leon sound setup

it has to be something not hi end that is good enough no?
ok, some of the major players here have stated their dislike for this DSP, but the reasons they dislike it im not sure would mecessarily negatively impact you for what youre trying to do

how much can you get that for? within your budget?

Seat león is awesome! I used to see them all the time when I lived in Mexico city. Isn't it the hatch?

As far as line out converters, they aren't bad if you get an active one like the audiocontrol lc2i

When i was in Romania this (and last) summer, i saw many Seats, and they are pretty dang cool!! Bottom of the pecking line at the house of Audi, but cool nonetheless

i'd say get a new head unit and get an 5 channel amp onto your stock speakers and add a sub. A proper head unit tune and more power will awaken your stock speakers. Along with the subwoofer taking off some of the stress of the lower end spectrum of the music, the stock speakers can be focused on clarity.

If you just swap speakers and keep the stock head unit, you'll sound worse than the stock system.

No EQ = garbage sound, no getting around that. look for a 24 bit dac head unit with 13 band eq and time alignment. That alone will make the biggest sq upgrade.

but depending on the age of the Seat Leon, it might have factory nav etc etc. Wouldnt a DSP, amp, and upgraded speakers make a world of difference? Of course a sub would be ideal for the low end, but he has mentioned a few times in this thread that he had kids and all the space he can spare is needed if at all possible. Plus being in Israel makes his gear selection a tad on the pricey side. Ths DSP might end up costing him more than a deck, but you know that some stock head units are so integrated into the car that replacing them becomes a major PITA sometimes

I guess we could get around that if he told us the year of the Seat and what kind of stock deck he has.

Nonrelated point, its sad that Seats wouldnt ever do well here because Americans would think that its something you sit on instead of a brand of cars. Skodas too (basically the same cars to some extent)
