I just bought this sub and looking for a good amp recommendation.

I chatted with someone from HalfPriceCarAudio website where this sub was purchased at.

They said this sub is a dual 4 ohm wired = final 2 ohm

"that box has a dual 4 woofer wired down to a 2 ohm load. So you want an amp that is 2 Ohm stable"

So I would require a 1000W RMS @ 2-ohm stable amp correct?

I really don't know much about this and would like to hear a few amps recommendations for daily use and that last.

I would like to look at a few from different price ranges and avoid the cheap stuff that will not last or heat up.

I have a Cadillac STS 2006 V6 w/ Factory Navigation, had a guy do the wiring stuff in the back where the factory amp is located and there the conenctions for the amp are ready. Ground, Remote, and Volt i think it is. Subwoofer is already sitting in my trunk ready for its amp.
