Goodbye!
That doesn't ****!

I have been listening to various Class D amps over the past couple of weeks because I need around 1,000 watts RMS @ 2 ohms, and I have come to a general conclusion... EVERY Class D subwoofer amp I have heard *****!

Granted, I have only heard a Hifonics Bxi 1608D, Memphis MCD-1000, a Cadence of some kind, my Crossfire BMF 1000d, and the Class D output section of my Rockford Fosgate 25 to Life Power 1000 and ALL of them seem to **** at keeping up with anything that has fast shifting sub-bass notes.

Just to be fair, the Hifonics Bxi 1608D was used in a test against a Lunar 2125 with both amps @ 2 ohms mono and the Hifonics couldn't keep up with the double bass pumps in a Disturbed track on a pair of Phoenix Gold 10s... All this testing took place in a buddy's 2002 Tahoe with a Pioneer DEH-800PRS head unit. The double bass pumps with the Hifonics on his 10s just sounded like a muddy mess whereas the Lunar was clean and precise. He used the little test to talk me OUT of buying another class D amp citing that they are garbage!

Sadly, I never realized that the Class D output on my 25 to Life Power 1000 was lacking SQ until after the Hifonics test.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Is this typical of ALL Class D Subwoofer Amps?

Zapco 9.0 is class D and I think it sounds pretty darn good. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Bullshiit!

your subs or the enclosure ***** - probably both were not optimal.

The bigger amp was probably cleaner because you weren't clipping the craap out of it to get some decent power. Try something of a higher caliber than cadence, hifonics, or new "old" RF. the cadence and hifonics are $200 1k amps.

probably the subs that can't hit the notes, not the amp.
Reading that I was just about to ask what subs? But I see they were PG 10s.

Try some DECENT subs and you will see a difference.
r u fekiing serious??

so, same song, same subs/enclosure, same HU, same truck, ONLY difference was the Amplifier Pushing it...

Am I the ONLY one in this hole that can read?

I would agree, the sub and box and or combination of the both have a bigger effect on sound than the amp. (Within reason)

What Disturbed song are you referring to?

I've got a class D amp and two old school RF punch 10's in a sealed box and Disturbed sounds badass.

Also what kind of source, if it was MP3 it could of been the file compression as well...

Don't ever quote the Turd again.

Better subs in a box built to specs and there might be better results is what we are all saying.

I still don't understand why you went all big with the red and black lettering.
