i have a diamond audio d3 12 subwoofer and when i had a sealed box it sounded alot better than my ported box right now. i bought the ported box from my local shop and i don't know any specs on it. should i go back to the sealed enclosure at around 1 cubic feet or ask someone to build me another ported box. if i get a ported what kind of spec should i ask them to build me. i have an integra hatchback btw

I wouldnt expect a prefab to sound good, especially if it doesnt tell you the specs.

But if you try out 2.1 cubes net, 38 sq inches of port, tuned to 30-31Hz I think you'd like the results //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Sealed will always sound good, but if you go with around what I suggested I can be almost positive you'll like it's added output along with the retained sound quality //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I remember the good old days buying prefab boxes. IT ******!!! lol. Hook up with some friends and build a custom slot port box. Also look on the Car Audio build logs, endless ideas man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
