recomendation before christmas lol

alright i have an audiobahn aw1200q(700rms) and am looking for a decent class d to push it at a 2 or 1 ohm load....i was looking at the hifonics bx1000d of that merlin one(450rms at 1-ohm). any other recomendations under 200 dollars? oh yeah, sq is a huge factor....thanks fellas..

you cant run it at 1 ohm unless you have 2, but you said you have 1 so get an amp for about 600-700 watts @2ohms, oh yeah with an audiobahn you want get a high ampunt of sq, i had some. i love my SX i have now

it gives 800 watts @2ohms watch your gains with it because i dont know how truthful audiobahn is with power handling on those subs.

hifonics isnt bad really i heard they are about 20% over rated however from a trusted source..although to put into terms there isnt that big of a diff between 800 and 1000 watts unless you plan on doing db drags that would be a few .1's of a db....

Older hifonics were good, I've had a ton of problems with the newer ones (past '97). If you can find an older one then you'll be ok. As far as Good SQ for under two hundred bucks... good luck on that one. For decent SQ you should expect to spend at least 250-600. Oh and by the way.. Audiobahn does not produce SQ amps. They produce cheap amps that beat away at you with senseless distorted power. Anyone who is deep into car audio will tell you this.

Try to find some prices on the following manufacturers of amps. You should be pleasently surprised at what you find. JL Audio, Kicker, Lanzar OPTi's, Phoenix Gold, Fockford Fosgate (older amps) and Power Acoustik. These will all be competively priced and will offer good, quality manufactured products.

any dei (ie: viper, orion directed,ppi & others) product will sound good, jl and kicker are gonna be expensive prolly, there are a lot of choices
