You would have to run at 100% efficiency to make that 1800 watts @ 12.6 volts with 142.85 amps to boot!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif I always thought SD was pulling numbers out of their ass, unless they figured out a way to generate power and violate Ohm's Law.I call BS on these Sound Digital amps... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/plthumbsdown.gif.d7966af824c93c6021d1aae1778b1c19.gif
The 1800w model has only one 80 amp fuse to make their claimed 1800 watts at their claimed 12.6 voltage..
This model would need 140+ amps of fusing if it was 100% efficient..
1800w / 12.6v = 142.85 amps to make power.
//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/bsflag.gif.21f42eccd34b7d1eb1608fb1b59b69c3.gif yall would pull some...oh you didnt test it right or your electric isnt up to parThe 2009 line doesnt use fuses anymore.
So now, what? We produce amps that actually make the power?
Those fuses ar MAXI which are retarded, they hold 3X its rated current for small amounts of time, but if you play a test tone for more than 4 or 5 seconds they would open.
And BTW, if you buy a SD amp and you measure less power than we rate the amp we give your money back.
