very interesting thread. so to be able to operate these cameras u will need an indash ??

i was thinking if they had something where u can record and the data be saved in a disc, then can be able to watch it in the computer or something.

A guy I work with just bought one of those "rear veiw" cams off of ebay. The thing didn't come with any type of video cable and the instructions say not to get it wet or use in humidity abouve 85%. This is Florida for Christs sake. The humidity is 100% for most of the year!

Uhh..

On some cars it is just easier to be able to look at a screen then in the rear view mirror.

when you look in the rear view mirror you have a bunch of stuff that could be blocking your field of view.. people in the back seat, stuff blocking the window, spoiler, very small rear window..

theres tons of reasons why a rear view camera comes in handy...
