really weird post. but also kind of a question

so i was told that sound waves move slower with higher elevation. so considering that since i live in the mountains in arizona do you think that means its harder to get loud because of the density of the air is much thinner up here?

lol i probably do sound like an idiot asking but i was just wondering

lol wish i knew but i guess i could maybe kinda see that but not really. wait for a older guy to chime in

and would you think it would be easier or harder to pull a hair trick. i figure its thinner air so maybe it moves easier or maybe since its not as dense its harder to move?

U should be spending this time getting loud instead of worrying about air density...in a perfect world with a great box and install u can pull off a hair trick ..its not gona be mind blowing suv status but its impressive for a pair of 12s in the trunk

even with the box im making now i have to build it in the trunk :/ n no not my honeys hole my honey hole. aka shiet shooter lmao. almost wish i would have gotten the shd 24" sub. i could build the box to come out of my box just a tiny bit and than run one of those. would been nasssssty.

To answer your question, yes you do get louder the lower elevation you go. And it does have to do with the air density increasing.

Air density depends on temperature, barometric pressure and altitude and to some extent on water vapor (humidity).*

I gain over 1 db going from 2500 ft above down to sea level, how ever gains will vary depending on radiating piston size and MMS of the driver
