Yeah but i dont know how to do that; therefore, it would cost more because i would have to deal with some goober installing it.

Well, the fact that the power the amp puts out in no way affects the way the head unit works? If you think the amp puts a signal to the head unit then you are *** backwards. If your head unit let off some smoke because of the amp, it was probably the ground trace for the rcas in the head unit which would be caused by a bad rca ground. My ground trace is blown.

what your talkin about is a ground loop isolator... much different...
what he was talkin about a ground trace, is on a circuit board, one of those thin thin wires... that leads to ground.. lol

Lol 11.9 volts i think is pretty good when you have 4 subs pounding at full, when the current is 250amps
but i'm just speaking from experience, trying to help, not trying to argue or get flamed
