First off, i have to say that im very happy about finally getting the sub, but the packaging was rediculous. . . .

This is how i received the box. . .

The large gash in the side of the box actually had the magnat peircing through it

This is what i saw when i opened the box. . .

Granted, it looks like it was roughed up a little in delivery, there is still nothing inside the box to keep the sub from shifting around. Just a box and 4 peices of stryophome. Horrible packaging. . .

Fortunately, I dont see any real signs of damage to the sub. There is a small scratch on the chrome, but other then, everything else seems o.k.

not sure, i e-mailed the sales dept at RE the first two pics and pitched a ***** about it. Im trying to find out if the sub was actually shipped that way, or if the shipping company opened the box checking for contents and neglected to pack it back correctly

The sub itself looks mighty sexy though, nice bling chrome on the back.

my 12xxx came in a wood box inside the other box. re doesnt pack things like that at all.

Yeah, I would contact the PMG (Postmaster General) about that issue. Well, at least someone in management of the company who delivered it. If RE packages their stuff in wood boxes, then there is definately something wrong with the shipping company. Tell them you've received your other speakers from RE in wood boxes. G'luck

Well the packaging does **** a fat one, but very nice woofer you got there.

don't worry about how it was packaged now, its at your house, and the only thing wrong with it is a little scratch on the chrome which you wont see when its installed anyway. get that bad boy in and wangin

18's always make the magnets look too small. Always look kinda goofy IMO......

yeah i ordered a 12" sx and thats exactly how it came in. They only use those little pieces of styrofoam to hold the sub in place. they should package the subs better.
